PROPERTIES OF OATS ON THE SKIN

OATS have many useful properties for our skin, I like to use them in masks and toners. Some of its benefits are:

• It is very useful to relieve itching, since it has a soothing action and is very good in case of irritation, eczema, itching, dermatitis, hives or psoriasis.

• It has a cleansing effect, absorbing dirt that accumulates in the pores.

• Prevents skin dehydration.

• It eliminates dead cells and impurities, which is why it helps reduce and treat acne by controlling sebum production and the formation of shine on our skin.

Some RECIPES that I like to make:

1. Tonic, prepare an infusion of 1 tablespoon of ground oats with a cup of mineral water, let it rest for 10 minutes and strain the mixture. It can be sprayed or applied with a cloth or compress. Store in the refrigerator for better preservation.

2. Mask, mix 4 tablespoons of Oatmeal with 1 tablespoon of Honey and an Egg white. Apply to a clean face and leave on for a minimum of 20 minutes.

3. Immersion Bath, exfoliates, cleanses and nourishes our skin. Put a cup of ground oats in the bath water, if you want it to hydrate you deeply you can add 2 tablespoons of olive or avocado oil.
